Spyro laughed as he flew through the Valley of Avalar. He looked
behind him and saw Cynder flying after him. She was laughing. It had
been a week since Spyro had pulled the world back together and he and
Cynder were free of their chain. Spyro remembered when they had first
worn the chain. She had always said she had wanted to be “free”
of him and that he was a “burden” to her.
But he had heard her confess her love to him in the core of the world
and he smiled as he looked at her. She was more beautiful then he
remembered seeing her. Her black scales shone under the sunlight and
her markings on her shoulders, tail base, head, and under her eyes
stood out. Her ruby red wing membranes and chest gleamed as the spray
from a nearby waterfall clung to her. Her emerald eyes shone with
laughter and merriment as she flew.
He smiled brighter, then spluttered as he flew right into the
waterfall. He heard Cynder break out into laughter as he tried to
escape the watery prison. He finally found a way out and quickly went
through it. As soon as he exited, he saw Cynder rolling on the
ground, laughing uncontrollably. He felt a blush form on his cheeks
and he quickly landed beside her, scales gleaming from the water. He
lowered his head, extremely embarassed. Then, he smiled as he stalked
up to Cynder, a plan forming in his mind. When he approached her, he
reached out with his front paws, and started tickling her.
She screamed in surprise as he tickled her sides and stomach. She
started squirming around, trying to get free of his revenge, but he
kept a grip on her. Tears of laughter were falling from her eyes as
he tickled more ferociously.
“S-S-Spyro.........s-s-stop!!!” She screamed as she
Spyro stopped tickling her and let her catch her breath. She was
still now, gasping for air, her face red.
“Did you enjoy that?” Spyro asked, a smile forming on his
Cynder looked at him and contemplated him. In her eyes, he was just
as beautiful to her as she was to him. His golden chest scales
reflected the sunlight that hit them and his tail twitched behind
him. His purple scales were lined with lean muscles, and his amethyst
eyes shone with kindness and happiness. His golden horns curled
backwards and his wings rested at his sides.
“Yes I enjoyed that.” Cynder said, blushing.
Spyro laughed, a deep booming laughed. Cynder glared at him, then
tackled him, throwing him to the ground. Spyro made an oof sound
as he landed on his back. Cynder took advantage of the situation and
stood over him, laughing.
“I got you.” Cynder said proudly.
Spyro laughed, “Yes you did.” He said.
They stared at each others eyes, each of their eyes sparkling. Many
thoughts raced through their heads as they gazed at each other. Then,
at the same time, they leaned their heads forward and pressed their
lips together in a kiss. Spyro's heart jumped as he kissed Cynder,
not knowing that Cynder's did the same thing. They broke the kiss and
stared at each other again. Then, they threw their heads forward and
kissed deeply. They kissed for awhile, savoring each others taste and
love. They broke the kiss again and Cynder rested her head on Spyro's
“I love you Spyro.” Cynder said.
“I love you too Cynder.” Spyro responded.
They both sighed and looked at the waterfall and the clouds in the
sky. Soon, they felt their eyes starting to close and, in the shadows
of the trees and the sunlight streaming through the leaves, they
closed their eyes and fell asleep, right in each others embrace.
